Lion OS Installation

Hi,
I have installed Lion OS through App store. It indicates the status is installed. Then i have restarted the mac and found still it is running with old os. The version is 10.6.7. Is lion os installed properly in my mac? If installed, how to activate it.

Did you run the installer? Go into your Applications folder. There should be an app called "Install OS X"

Do you still see the Lion icon in your dock?
