Is Apple not supporting Lion now because Mavericks has come out?
Have Apple dropped support for Lion now that Mavericks is out?

    Thanks.

    It hasn't yet, it's a developer preview.

    Good point. :p

Will Apple be dropping Lion from support once they release Mavericks?

It will be like it always was. Apple supports current and current - 1 release and security updates.

What do you mean by "support"? Apple lately offers security update for the current OS and the 2 previous. In the past it had been current and 1 previous. There's no way of knowing what Apple's plans are.

    Just look here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/#macosandsoftware

Currently Apple supports Mountain Lion, Lion and Snow Leopard with software and security updates. I doubt it will change when Mavericks comes out, just Snow Leopard will be not supported and Lion will take it's place.

I don't think you'll see any more point updates for Lion. You will see security updates if some glaring hole is discovered. But that's your lot.
