Lion won't recognize my USB Stick, help!

I have a Cruzer Micro 4GB, and Lion will not recognize it when I plug it in, and yes I have it checked to show external items on the desktop. Anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!!

Thank you much!! It was showing up on my Windows machine but only 195mb for some reason, now it's showing up on my OSX desktop after the tip from the above poster and it's showing all 4GB, wonder why it would do that?

I've had an issue with Lion as well.

If it doesn't show up and any lights on the thumb drive aren't lighting at all, I just unplug it and plug it back in.

Appears to be working 100% fine right now, I'm going to try and write something to the USB drive to see if it's working good.

Normally I encounter this issue if I plug the drive in before I'm logged in.

Mac is asleep, I plug in a USB device, I type my login and...nothing.

Yeah mine is working fine now and it's showing ALL the data space on the drive which is good. Like I said before, not sure why Windows (all be it, Windows 8 Consumer Preview) was showing only 195mb of total space. Once I pulled it up in disk utility, formatted it, it showed right up on the desktop. So once again, thank you for your help iDecker!!

Check in Disk Utility

I checked disk utility and don't see my Cruzer listed. Light on cruzer is on and USB port is working but no cruzer. I last used this thing on a windows laptop.

Sounds like you munged your USB thumb drive. Which filesystem formatted it?
