I’ll make sure to tune in. Never miss an opportunity to watch these guys kick the kicky ball… they might need the money from viewership you know!
I’ll also make sure to buy one or two of those several hundreds dollars jerseys with the name of other men on the back for the same reason too.

The feats, efforts and discipline that these athletes display? Commendable. The insane money and time waste behind it all for everybody else? Not so much. A lot of it in the name of “feeling part of”.

I like soccer but I didn't subscribe to MLS. It still seems a bit bush league. Apple should give 1 season free to Apple+ subscribers. Perhaps the rest of this season and next season.

Messi at Miami will definitely help the game. Teams in MLS need more high quality players.

Ronaldo is currently in the bush league of Saudia Arabia. The brutal regime of Saudi Arabia. Apparently Ronaldo will sell his soul for a paycheque. He might move to MLS.

Watching MLS with Vision Pro could use Messi. When he interviews he can step out of the frame like the T-Rex.

Messi would sell out his soul as well if his wife wanted to live there. She was heavily against it - that was one of the primary reasons for him not going there.

Don’t forget he’s working with Gulf states as an ambassador anyway.

However there’s speculation they are planning to talk to Neymar and Suarez so MSN could be back together!

Surprised he wants to go to the MLS. The Saudi Arabi League is basically giving him upwards of US$1 Billion for a two-year plus an ambassador role for a lifetime. That seems a way more lucrative deal than the one CR7 got. Playing in the MLS plus ownership it doesn't seem to match.
Maybe he’s reached a point in his career where money isn’t the biggest consideration.

aside from muslim people, who wants to go live in Saudi Arabia ?
See what happens with Cristiano Ronaldo, we went for the money, his girlfriend who is very girly feels like being in jail in such country...
Who wants to live like that ? Messi doesn't want that for his family

he chose quality of life. He already has more money then he could ever spend, and he has the ambassador role already with Saudi Arabia. He made a decision for his family, it’s a very Spanish-speaking community in Miami, incredible lifestyle if you are wealthy, and you are in the same time zone as Argentina pretty much. All of these things are very important to consider.

Very true, the lifestyle and language do a lot to be honest plus he didn't want to risk it after what he's been through in France to be honest. In addition, his wife made it quite clear she's not moving to Saudi so that was pretty much done afterwards.

When you an NBA player and too old you go play in Europe or Asia for some extra cash. In soccer, Europeans come play in the US for some extra cash. Definitely highlights the relative weakness of our soccer.
Friends and relatives in the UK along with various foreign soccer pundits put the level of play of MLS on par with England's 2nd tier ("The Championship") with some of the lower MLS teams being more "League One" and the worst "League Two". From what I've seen of MLS and the EPL over the past 4 years, I'd say that's a fair assessment.

I'm hoping they get full EFL rights! We can watch Wrexham get to the BPL!
They have signed a deal with Sky, that’s for U.K. domestic rights though. There is no indication that they are close to making a deal for international broadcast.
One of the clubs chairmen’s was on a sport radio show here in the U.K. last week. He said Apple didn’t come in for the rights and he was disappointed that they didn’t.

T-Mobile is giving it away free. I've got a season pass and I'll never watch a single game because I hate sportsball.

Between Messi in MLS, Women's World Cup 2023, and then the 2026 Men's World Cup in the US(+Canada+Mexico), the game in America is in a virtuous cycle. I think Apple's timed their MLS deal pretty darn well. Now here's hoping they get EPL rights.
NO! Leave the EPL alone. The MLS package is way over priced so I can imagine the rip off price they will attach to the EPL. stay the he’ll away Apple😖

🤌 MLS should be included in the Apple+ subscription. I do not like paying a separate subscription. Attract more Apple+ subscribers with added MLS instead of charging a separate subscription to watch MLS. 🤌

Messi in MLS is great news for the sport, bad news for us who get MLS+ package for free through T-Mobile. It’s going to get too expensive for T-Mo to give it away.

What a useless character he was.. Still don't understand that storyline!

I didn't like that storyline at all, so I'm happy they scrubbed it. I get the feeling the writers realized they had made a mistake. IMO the second half of the season was substantially better than the first. :)

Can someone update the article to just say "MLS" instead of "the MLS"? Baseball is not "the MLB," and soccer is the same.

Would be such a shame to finish his wonderful career in such weak leagues like the US or Saudi both absolutely dire quality.
