I was using my week old rMBP on the coffee table and my son tripped and had a drink and it landed on the table not on the machine but I got very little that landed on the left speaker grill. It seem to sit there and within seconds tipped it upside down and wiped it off. Machine is working fine and no damage to the speaker and no other part of it got wet. Should I be worried or just forget about.

I do have it covered under the house insurance if down the line it had issues

As a matter of good practice, it's very wise to avoid turning the computer back on after any exposure to liquid. One should give it time to dry no matter how small the exposure is.

Conversely if it's booted and liquid is present in a second the computers ruined.

You're smart to have it insured.
