Never. I waited to see the 6+ in person to determine if I'd like that size. 6s+ and 7+ I ordered on the first day but ended up in the 2nd batch time frame (usually 1-2 week shipping window).

I'll try to get up for 3am eastern time and see if I can get a 256GB X (silver) on Nov 3
1-2 weeks doesn't really sound too bad actually

6 plus was the only one I didn’t get on launch day but the delay was less than a week.

Otherwise 3g launch, 4 launch, 4s launch, 5 launch, 6s launch, 7, launch

Sat out of 3GS launch while I was flirting with a palm pre and the 5s I got about a week post launch (I was sitting out but changed my mind and scored one in my first Apple store drop in).

So I have been lucky I expect to be lucky this year but, honestly don’t expect to wait longer than 2 weeks if I am delayed for any reason.

since iPhone 4s, I get every device on launch day except two.
5 doesn't have a pre-order.
6 my initial order status says 7-14 days, so I went ahead and waited in line. the online order came the next day.

5 didn’t have a pre order? I remember ordering it online and getting it delivered on launch.

2-3 million iphone avail on launch day , so we still have a low chance 20%/100%

Every time except for 3g
However Every Launch day phone was swapped out in its first year with the exception of the iPhone 4

original iPhone and iPhone 3G waited online at Apple Store on launch day. Preordered online iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone 7 Plus and received every one on launch day.
