I've got a bunch of programs that work fine with Panther but I'm thinking of upgrading to tiger and wanted to find out if I'll have to upgrade all of my programs.

Does anyone know of a list of program versions that would work with Tiger?

Some of my important programs are InDesign 2.0, PhotoShop 7, After Effects 6.0, GoLive 6, Final Cut Pro 4.5

Thanks.

Basically everything should work fine. Nothing was removed from the programming API in the change from Panther to Tiger, only added. There might be a tiny number of programs that don't work, but it's probably single figures.

So no, no one maintains a list of stuff that does work as it'd be absolutely huge.

I haven't been keeping up to date so I didn't know about that.
But that brings up the same question about version compatibility.

I think I'll wait and see if Leopard will work with my versions.

Everything should work with Leopard in 32 bit mode. Anything that requires Quickdraw won't work in full 64 bit mode but that should be minimal. The apps you listed are all 32 bit and should all work fine in Leopard.

This is good news. I've been holding off for a while. Leopard it is.

Thanks again.
