I'd like to get a list of working iPod Touch apps with as little chit chat as possible. If you're using an app that isn't directly available through Installer.app, please include the URL of where you got it so that we can also enjoy it :D

Please only list apps that you know are 100% working.

I'll start the list:

Apollo IM
Stumbler
iSplit
Finder
TTR

I've also heard that Mail and Maps from the iPhone work as well.

Does anyone know if the iphone ebooks app works for the touch? I think it can be installed using the installer app.

Confirmed working -
3rd Party:
LightsOut

From iPhone:
Notes
Weather

These were quick and easy to access last night as it was getting late and I'm extremely tired this morning. :D

What I have found:
Mail (1.1.1 + certain bundle)
Maps (plus certian file)
NES emu
Notes
Calendar (1.0.2)
Weather
ApolloIM (please make sure you have BSD Subsystem before installing this)

19.5MB left :)

Can't wait to play with that.

Also, if anyone has any resources to share on building third-party applications, please share. I'm interested on getting into native-app development.

Terminal
NES
Apollo
TTR
SendSong

ok so i checked out summerboard and it messed up my bottom dock, how can i fix that b/c i really want to use it!!!

Where can I get Apollo IM app? Is it in the Installer.app?

EDIT: To the user above me, just go into Installer and uninstall Summerboard. It's not yet supported by iPod touch 1.1.1, to my knowledge.

Hi there,

I guess posting my question in here would be appropriate for those who, just like me, have doubts regarding 3rd party software's installation.

iPhone's apps aside — which I managed to install —, I wonder how to install all the rest, such as Apollo, Stumbler and everything else.
In my Installer program on my fresh, new iPhone Touch  I don't see so many apps. So, maybe I should go and search somewhere else. Could someone point me toward the right spot?

Thanks.

Some repeats, but everything I have installed:

SummerBoard 1.1.1
Full Calendar
Maps
Weather
Notes
Installer
Apollo
Stubmler
Sketches
NES
MusicQuiz
FiveDice
TapTapRevolution
iBlackjack

There's a ton more than this that work, I just don't have 'em installed.

If you have around 5? 7? 10? then you need to install "community source". If you have lots of apps, like more than thirty, then just know that not many apps are out for the iPod yet.

The question's not whether I have more or less than 5 appz; but it's about where and how I get them (any number I want) :)
So, what's exactly this "community source"?

Update: This community source appears to be an app (located into Installer.app) that allows you to expand your apps search to other repositories (accessible via Installer.app, too).
It seems to gain a lot more appz, indeed ;)

Its in installer.app. Open Installer and it's in the list.

But VPN is already there?

I didn't know I needed that software first :( so I have to D/L it again..

haha oh well. All i need now is VPN and this is bliss.
Isn't VPN installed already? Mine is under settings- general- networks or is this not what you meant??
