yea and does the vpn work with cisco vpn? cos thats what they use at my uni.

how do u get maps on the touch i have been using WinSCP and PuTTY i have the map.app and put it on the touch then i hit it it opens then closes as soon as it opens

You need the GMM framework as well. It is required by MobileMail as well.

ok so i checked out summerboard and it messed up my bottom dock, how can i fix that b/c i really want to use it!!!

How did it mess up the dock? Is the dock at the top of the screen?

EDIT: To the user above me, just go into Installer and uninstall Summerboard. It's not yet supported by iPod touch 1.1.1, to my knowledge.

Yes it is, you need the newer SummerBoard.

so,
for maps (and mail by the way for anybody else), you need to put the MobileMail.app file (in the iphone 1.1.1. pack you have downloaded) in /Applications
and MobileMailSettings.bundle in /System/Library/PreferenceBundles

then, via terminal, enter :

chmod -Rf +x /Applications/
chmod -R a+x /Applications/*
