[List] Popular apps not updated for 2018 iPad Pro

Unbelievable - I have one developer who keeps responding to my complaint emails, but telling me that they dont intend to change these black bars, because they actually "like" them!
Is there any document from apple where they outline how exactly an app has to look like for the ipad 11" ? I only found this one, and it's not clear. https://developer.apple.com/design/...ines/ios/visual-design/adaptivity-and-layout/

I sent this pic to the developer and they are asking me what's my problem, claiming that it looks nice... omgView attachment 808892

Good luck to them in making this claim to Apple after the March deadline. If you can replace them with another app, that’s probably the way to go. Either way, you can leave them a negative review.

They made it auto-width but didn’t update for Liquid Retina (which is what would get rid of the bars).

It seems they updated Word for Liquid Retina and broke the ability to see comments or to put revisions in bubbles. NOT a great job, Microsoft.

I’ve been submitting feedback to companies that haven’t updated. It’s amazing how hard some companies make it to submit feedback (Looking at you, DirectvNOW/ATT). If they don’t have a proper feedback channel or mechanism, they’re getting public tweets from me about the issue.

I tweeted at them last night since I noticed that Playstation Vue app was updated for the new iPad screens. Got nothing back this time around, haha.

Yeah, I don’t think they like that I pointed out Netflix and Hulu already updated.

That means two of their direct competitors (Hulu PlaystationVue) are now updated and they aren’t. Has Sling updated yet? They’re the only real direct competitor left who might not have.

So maybe we will see the 2018-iPP support already in 2020 😉

Still no max support i think they just made fonts smaller, march is deadline from apple for them to update

I’m still seeing black borders on all sides. I even re-downloaded. Kinda bummed about that.

It was probably a bad idea by Apple from the start. Who asked for a minimum screen increase that changes the aspect ratio? Was it really a demand from the market?

amazon as typical is taking forever to update their apps, I mean for god sakes Walmart is already updated. all their apps have the issue. amazon, amazon video etc
