$200 is not a lot for a phone dude. I use the phone app for several hours a day, all other apps maybe 2 minutes a day or less. I get a lot out of my iphone or whatever smartphone I choose to get, even if I do still talk a lot on the phone.

fair point.

never met anyone who bought a smartphone mainly for the phone part.

Besides stock apps for phone, calendar, contacts, camera, photos, I use (in no particular order)

TWC Max
Alien Blue (for reddit)
Breeze (Zen)
Vodio
NOAA Radio
Pulse
Flipboard
AppsGoneFree
Flixter
Tanso D/L (for porn videos)
LiLi and Angry Birds SW

I find most of the stock apps good for my uses. While they may occasionally be lacking some desired features, they aren't missing enough for me to go looking for alternatives.

Bookworm (my only game)

of the pre-installed these are the ones I use the most:
messages
music
clock (use the timer for baking all the time)
notes (for shopping lists)

The phone is the one I probably use the least, not really a phone person.
