iPhone Listen to audio files in the background possible?

Is there any way to listen to background audio files while something else is open, in this case I'd like to have Waze open but really any app. I know you can do music, but what about audio files?

Thanks. Link not working though. Just to clarify I'm trying to listen to my audiobooks from OneDrive. I can open and listen to them just fine on iOS, but when I open another app like Waze the audiobook stops playing.

Installed Always Play Ipod but I can't find an app shortcut or find it in the settings menu.
