I'm sure many of you know of other ways of doing this but I found this method a few days ago.

I listen to youtube live streams or long (2 to 5 hour DJ sets) on my iMac usually.
And I can do this and go and use facebook or word etc.

Try this on iPad for example and as soon as exit youtube app the music stops.

I found a way to listen to youtube and go use facebook app, iMessage etc, etc.
So long as the app your using is also not a video streaming app it seems work so far.

Only app needed is dolphin browser.

So install that app and navigate to youtube, find the video/stream you want and start playing it.
Then hit home button, yes the music stops but hold on.
Swipe up from Botton of screen to get the quick settings etc. you will see a play button with name of video.
Hit play and music starts, you can now close quick settings and use any other app you wish and the music will continue to play.

I love that I found this and now find that my iPad Pro can do 95% of what I was doing on my iMac.
Think my iMac days may be numbered lol
