I really can't understand the inability to listen to audio message on the device, if you can take calls and listen to voicemails it clearly has the function to do so.

I find when I sent an audio message, it encourages the receiver to do the same and then I have to go over to the iPhone just to listen to the message. Not a deal breaker but slightly frustrating, hopefully they can add this feature in an upcoming update

I did see that, but everytime I get one on my apple watch it says it listen to it on the iPhone.

I spoke to an Apple chat advisor and they said you can't but hopefully in a future update. Quite confused at the conflicting info.

Is anybody else able to listen to audio notes?

I can hear audio messages on my watch. I just tested it by listening directly from the notification as well as going into the message app and playing it there ... Not sure why yours is not working? Really strange ...

I had the same problem before even after the update.. I mentioned it here on another thread. Not sure what happened, I didn't change any settings on my phone or the watch, asked my husband to send me an audio message and was able to listen to it.

I just sent myself a audio from wife's iPhone. Could hear it on my watch without a problem.
