I was looking up something on Google and somehow stumbled on this cryptic subdomain:

Clicking the "Lists" link gives a raw table of a bunch of links. What is this place?

It is a Listserv of different Apple topics, mostly developer material.

The way it works is if you are subscribed to a Listserv and another member sends in a question, that question goes out to all the members in an email. Then the same with replies and answers.

Apple host some pretty useful email lists, including some automated ones like security-announce, which is good to notify you of incoming patches, etc.
