Now to find a case that shows off the logo![]()
I can't see how this would be a legal issueIt's an aftermarket modification. Void the warranty...yes. But doesn't this fall into a similar situation as how "jailbreaking" your phone isn't illegal. You paid for the phone...what you do with the phone you own is up to you. Apple has no say in the matter.
This kit requires a replacement backplate to be fitted (so the light can shine through). They can put a clear square or triangle there and Apple can't do anything about it, but as you can see they've decided to put the (trademarked) Apple logo there so Apple can indeed shut them down if they want to.

Don't companies make aftermarket backplates with the apple logo? And back films? Decals? Etc...
yes but a company saying hurry we are going to stop selling soon. Also a very common business sales tactic.creates fear, desire and the possibility of getting something limited and possibly worth more $$. In other words it's a great promo for them. they can just keep extending the sale to.
Does this really void the warranty? Or if the phone gets messed up you should be able to just put the stock backplate on and apple won't be able to tell correct?
