As cool as this actually looks my battery has enough problems staying charged throughout the day as it is.

So much so that I have to run a battery case almost exclusively for day-to-day business. I only swap it out when I know I'm going to be going in the elements. Even then it is only for a few hours.

if you're taking pics or vids, how does that bright light 1" away from the lense affect things?
(certainly couldn't take any stealth vids with that light on all the time)
