When I decide to install Tiger I am going to back up my work and music etc. and then do a clean install. Once I do that, I will want to install, for example, iLife '05 I purchased - can I still download and register this with Apple legally?

This may by a silly question but I am stupid :)

yeah u can install ilife 05 with ur new install of tiger.. if u reg before u don't hab re reg though

It wont stop you from installing it even though it has been registered before? Is there no way of it knowing that it has been reinstalled?

I re-registered iLife again when I re-installed it after a clean install. Apple knows people are re-installing everything after upgrading to Tiger, they're not gonna pick everyone out who registered the same copy twice and go after them because chances are, they've upgraded. You won't have any problems.
