There better be a new Mac mini, or Mac Pro, or both. An event with just MacBook Pros isn't worthy of the hello again name. Then again, any Mac event is a big deal now.

I've spent months with only 1 USB-C port and - even though I'd like a couple more - I definitely don't want those big ugly traditional USB ports back

I think he's mostly concerned about the lack of HDMI, MagSafe, and the SD card reader. For us Pro users, those ports are really valuable to us. They're part of what make the MacBook Pro a professional product.

Why would you not want USB-C ?

He didn't say he doesn't want USB-C. His issue as with mine is that I do not want 4 of them. Two USB-C, a thunderbolt and USB 3 would be perfect.
