Man, they're gonna charge a fortune for all the adapters and leads. Form over function. You've have thought they could have added a couple of USB ports!
Yeah. This feels like that other time they went one step too far, with that iPod Shuffle model that didn't have any buttons. People were like ummm hell no. Shortly thereafter Apple quietly went back to the model before. Oh, the humiliation of having to revert to the previous version to keep the product alive...

Go to an Apple Store and ask them to swap it out... I'm sure they would - I know its different, but when headphones/cables break they ALWAYS replace for free, even out of warranty lol.
As a recently former employee I can tell you with 100% certainty, they they will never swap one cable for another. It just will not happen.

The touchbar is great for aliens - one hand on the touch-pad, one on the keyboard, and your flipper on the touchbar.

Not trying to join the constant moaning, and I will give it a shot, but as a pro FCPX editor, the very idea of using the tiny touch bar image to scroll within my timeline based on the image is the sort of demo that can only be created by somebody who doesn't use the product on a regular basis.

The thing is, the trackpad on macbook pros is already so good at this, as is COMMAND =/- for zooming in and out. These are tactile functions, and my eyes never need to leave the screen.

If I can map out a bunch of custom functions, I can see a use for it, but the timeline is worst example I can think of for FCPX.

The only imagination they have now is to think up ways of using the Touchbar, despite the fact that is one is less convenient than using the trackpad or mouse...

Worse. Since the bar changes based on context you would have to keep refocusing your eyes. Suppose you're working on the top right of the screen and now want to press F2 and F5 for some function (or look to one of the customized things). You will have to inevitably check the bar, see the position, move you hand, refocus on the top right of the screen and then move back your hand.

Yes. The touch bar is a workflow and ergonomics disaster.

Correct me if I'm wrong but many serious PS users have multiple monitors so the full screen option (while nice) is mitigated
Remember when full screen was first introduced in macOS? (I think it was in 10.7 Lion?). In a multi monitor setup, when you'd click the full screen button on an app, it would fill your active screen with the app, but then black out every other screen. Most horrid implementation of full screen ever.

It's since been fixed however. :)
