Wow, I'm so stupid. I threw out all my pencils when I decided to buy an iPad. D'oh!

The completely delusional of blindies here is astounding. Apple just basically copied Microsoft Surface keyboard, but people are already complaining thant Samsung will copy the stylus...although their smartphone and tablet (Note, anyone?) had one for a long time.

Your username is chosen well. When Jobs was referring to styluses, it was in the context of phones and Palm PDA's. Tablets didn't exist at the time, and there is a definite use-case for styluses on tablets such as the iPad Pro.
Tablets have been around for well over 20 years before the first ipad.
ipad pro reminds me of a Gridpad, except the pen is wireless. http://www.oldcomputers.net/pics/gridpad-right.jpg

Will the Pencil work with the iPad Air 2? I'd like to draw in PowerPoint.

He was talking in general sense and it's still true but that's another discussion for another thread...

Microsoft brought the desktop to a tablet in a clunky experience. Apple is taking their mobile OS for iPad and scaling it up with more features. If they had tried to cram OS X on there, then your comment would have some validity.
