Can't get to the livestream at all via my MBP or my iPad, but fired right up on my iPhone. Go figure.

...and paid out $6.5Billion to developers thus far for app development? Wowza!

Is anyone else having the problem of streaming on there Windows. I'm using every brower known to computer geeks and I still get the same message telling me to come back soon!!! I WANT TO WATCH!!!!

Any guess how much data this will use streaming to my VZW iPad? :D

I started with 1.8 GB left of my 3 GB - checked after 5-10 minutes of streaming the opening and I had already used another 100 MB....guessing that'll get me through most of the keynote....we'll see.

Just gonna stream until I get the 10% warning - then switch to my iPhone.

Here I am

Hi, everyone.

I'm the one person on Earth who prefers liveblogs to listening to the blah blah blah in real time.

Just wanted to introduce myself.

Yeah, I know, but Cook sounds forced and unnatural, whereas Jobs at least sounded like he believe what he was saying.

The way he drops his voice down a few decibels to try and impart faux amazement is really grating, too

I agree that it's grating, but I always thought Jobs was pretty grating too. Cook's accent doesn't help - where's he from? Annoying.

And the fact he said "sales of the new iPod are going fantastic" makes me dislike him.

Yeah. Damn people for having a good time! What losers.

I like my Apple products as much as the next guy, but you wont find me waiting in line for 2 days for an iPhone and you definitely wouldn't have me cheering on camera as if i just won the lottery as I'm walking out. Its sad and pathetic imo

Anybody else sort of starting to dislike how Tim Cook slows down and exaggerates certain words when he speaks?

"People have now downloaded 35 BILLION apps. This is JAW DROPPING!"

I like Tim Cook, but his speaking just feels a bit disingenuous, like he's trying too hard to impress...

What technology should they use for streaming? Flash? Windows Media?

As far as I'm aware, all scalable streaming formats are proprietary. Of course they are going to choose their own.

What's the point of making quicktime availible for windows then?

No it's not. I've waited on lines before and for me it's just fun to hang out with a bunch of people who have similar interests. Plus, most likely they're hamming it up for the cameras anyway.
