I can see this having limitions. I quite often lean over in bed to unlock my iPhone while it's on my bedside dock. It wouldn't be able to see my face, I'm guessing in those scenarios and car cradles etc we will be back to the days of having to put in the passcode. Shame they couldn't incooperate Touch ID on the back of the phone either as well or instead.

I'll be honest -- I'm not horribly thrilled about the "swipe from bottom to go home" and "swipe from bottom and pause for app switcher" of iPhone X. I have a lot of trouble swiping up from bottom currently.
