This'll end up being a Touch ID situation. Gen 1, slower, but works. Gen 2, fast as heck.

Why make the user swipe after looking at the phone? I guess to avoid inadvertent unlocking. They should have a gesture instead that lets you look and unlock at the same time. Like holding up a finger while looking at the phone.

Face ID false rejection rate of 1 in 1,000,000 is still weaker than iris scanner's 1 in 1.4 trillion using both eyes.

The iris scanner is the better method imo.
