starting off with Lion (and Macbooks)

1:09 pm "For the first time ever we offered Lion as a digital download only. This is incredible. The results have been staggering. We have downloaded over 6m copies of Lion. This is 80% more than Snow Leopard."

This is meant to be an iPhone event, 11 mins waffling on about non iPhone stuff, get on with it Tim

This comment by Tim is comical:
1:09PM We're comparing to Windows 7 -- it took 20 weeks to reach 10 percent of the Windows install base. It took Lion two weeks.

For Lion the 10% was a few million. For Windows it was 100 million. Yea, Lion sure buried Windows.

This...
I almost spit my drink out when I saw this.
They're actually trying to make that comparison?
Is Tim on crack or what?
Lion will never see 450 million copies sold... ever.

Not sure why they would make a huge event press release for an iPhone 4S when they KNOW it will just setup a HUGE letdown.

Not a good way to start the future with a new CEO. :(

Somehow after the last few days OTT speculations regarding the virtual assistant, today feels anti-climactic.
