You're wrong. It's not just blur. It's depth of field blur. They need 2 lenses to do depth of field calculations and then apply a different level of blur with depth.

It doesn't require two lenses. It's a straightforward algorithm to separate the foreground subject from the background using simple blur detection calculation from a 2D image.
