Was the recent Samsung keynote worse than this? Hard to imagine if it was.

I'm pretty sure the Samsung keynote had a fraction of the viewers as this one does. Still no excuse, it's not like the team behind the streaming of this event didn't realize a crapton of people would be trying to stream this.

Hate to use the word...but stream FAIL.

When it is working there is some translator speaking in the background.

Have the infrastructure in place to handle the entire free world to be watching at once. Simple enough.

This live stream is a joke. Apple are continuously shown up on their live streaming compared to every other event. DDoS is not an excuse, they should be prepared for this.

Feel free to setup a live streaming engine for them that can handle millions of viewers across the globe. Also remember, Apple doesn't control the boarder routers, switches, and other equipment in various ISP services. You (and us all here) are not the only person(s) watching this keynote.
