I liked how Phil was all excited about it, then he went "...and were calling it... HomePod. Yeah...." ending with a somber tone.
Mac OS High Sierra...a new Mac operating with loads of refinements and highness
I won't either right now. It's better than my sonos system, but not enough to spend $2000 more on my home setup.
Just wait until June 2018, the price will drop to maybe $259..maybe $299

If people want sound quality they need a high end receiver and real towering speakers. Such a setup can cost a couple grand to 20k
Exactly what I was thinking, for $349, if the sounds is exceptional, I'd definitely score one for the bedroom (for reasons of convenience, space saving, integration)
I guess it doesn't really use Siri like Alexa yet though so I guess Sonos it's the closet comp...
No real innovation in HomePod. Doesn't really bring anything to the table.
Wow, I cannot believe they are doing almost nothing to iOS on the iPhone, not even a dark theme. I'm a bit concerned about my Apple stock, as are some analysts. It's great the iPhone 8 (albeit with extremely limited production constraints and possibly a crappy touch ID sensor per Foxconn employees) will have smaller top/bottom bezels, but it will still run the same primitive OS. Even my prediction of a bazillion more emojis didn't come through.
On the ipad front, some decent features. It's a bit hilarious that the dock is something new and shiny, when other PC's have been doing it for so long. 10 hour battery life on the pro? Hmm I didn't realize the surface pro had actually caught up to the ipad, so now there remain really no reasons to get an ipad except for ecosystem.
So really almost nothing to be excited at all. The speaker is still the same "gotta be in the same room screaming at a speaker for information better formatted on my smartphone" concept that amazon and google have. Watch OS, nada, zip, zilch that's actually useful.

LOL $350...certainly won't be buying that. Must be why they are not launching it in Canada...up here that would be like a $500 speaker by the time exchange and tax are added. Also their design is a huge failure, must have been designed in a dust free facility and they forgot that all that mesh is going to be a complete nightmare to keep clean
I may have missed it and I'm sure my question will be answered once Apple.com updates, but did the 12.9" iPad get a spec bump?
My Sharkk bluetooth speaker will sound better than this and it only cost me $49. Ridiculous. Speakers need size to matter. this thing is not going to rock your house; it will rock your wallet and all your money will fall out into apple's piggy bank!

Wow, I've never read so much deliberate denial. Apple straight up just TOTALLY RIPPED OFF AMAZON AND GOOGLE, FACT! The speaker sounds better, but it's still a speaker with an integrated personal computer assistant you talk to...
