New cinema displays! It's been years since an actual update, and they are long overdue, especially for us Mac Pro users. :(

I know whats being released

Its a Mac Brain Implant chip, so Mac os X is always within us!!!!!

Ok aside from that, I feel this year has more Apple events than last year. Is there a push to go mainstream?

My prediction:

20" iMac
2.2Ghz C2D
1Gb RAM (up to 4Gb)
Go8400 128Mb (upgradable to Go8600 256Mb)
250Gb HDD

24" iMac
2.4Ghz C2D
2Gb RAM (up to 4Gb)
Go8600 256Mb
500Gb HDD

So Manic Mouse, you figure they'll offer a bigger iMac model as well?
Some rumours have it that they'll be offering 28 or 30 inch models.

Keep in mind that DDR2 prices are extremely low right now, so I don't see why all of them wouldn't have 2GB standard, with the possible exception of the $1199 one

Back in a minute boys, gotta grab my bagel & OJ from the union before the conference starts :D

They could do, but for the existing models I'd say those spec updates are fairly safe. I'm on a MacBook, so those screen sizes sound monstrous to me! :p

I'm on a Macbook, too. It would be great if the new iMac had user changeable hard drives like the Macbook. Or even room for 2 hard drives (that's maybe asking too much).
But, I guess we'll see what's up soon.

sure it does, apple won't allow any video at the event. If they try to sneak a camera in, it will probably be so dark that you wouldn't be able to see anything.
The stage is lit. I know Apple doesn't allow cameras in. It's still a shame.
