Guys, did someone try Live Photos? The quality is very unacceptable - when touch-pressed it, the picture becomes blurry for first 1-2 sec and after that start moving (by the way too fast then the real movement) and when release the touch-pressed - the picture becomes blurry again for a sec. I kept the phone still when taking the live photo.

The blur you're seeing is just the transition effect when before and after the video. It's not part of the video playback at all.

I'm not entirely sure what "by the way too fats then the real movement " means, but if you mean the animation seems weird, it records at 15 fps, as opposed to the 30 or 60 frames you typically get when recording video. This is done to keep the file size reasonable - having half the frames halves the file size. It's not any faster or slower than any other video, but it's not as smooth.

Thank you. But if you see the live wallpapers in the phone , they look crispy and clear no blurry seconds before and after. Why if you take your own Live Photos the blur is so visible ? The live photo is definitely much faster then normal. It is not because of the fps. If you take live photo of some still object with movement elements on it - you will see the difference. It looks like FastForward playing :)

I was thinking the same thing about the wallpaper. It looked very smooth during the keynote. I still use the feature, and I do like it, but it does playback quickly. Doesn't work well when I'm taking a photo of my toddler and he moves fast as it is.

What gordon1234 said isn't true, the Live Photo playback is faster than real life.

What's the point of Live Photo? I thought you were supposed to be able to pick another photo from it if the main one wasn't perfect?

I'm also having an issue with the blurryness on the Live Photos. Anyone find a solution for this? Maybe operator error? I was looking forward to using this feature but I dont like the blurryness at all :(

Edit: nope that didn't help.

What I think is happening is that since the phone captures 3 seconds or whatever before you take the pic, it's capturing you focusing on the subject. Hold the phone still a little longer before snapping the shot.

Live Photos have been inconsistent for me. I'm fine with the 15fps limitation, but sometimes they have irregular pacing, with a portion passing unnaturally quickly, and the rest at a normal pace. Other times it's perfectly fine the whole way through.

I'm fairly confident software improvements will iron out some of the occasionally odd behavior. I certainly hope so, because I really like the feature and would like to use it as my default choice. It's really nice to have those few seconds of context available for each photo!

Good point.
