    Hi all,

I'm currently working as a volunteer in Ethiopia. I have another 15 months of volunteer service left before I go to a country with fast Internet. The problem is that the Internet service here is not fast enough or consistent enough to download the iPod restore file inside of iTunes. When the download errors out it starts back at zero KB.

I've tried to find an email address for support staff at Apple. The Internet is also not fast enough to be able to "talk" with support and calling the states from Ethiopia would cost me a fortune. Are you aware of any other forms of communication that would available from Ethiopia. Perhaps an email address for someone with compassion at the Apple office?

I was thinking another option would be for someone to send me a CD with the restore file on it, but I know that would be a tricky result, as the file doesn't seem to be able to be saved. Maybe someone in this forum is aware of a back-of-house operation that would allow the file to be copied and then a way to trick iTunes into thinking it has downloaded the restore file?

Besides that, I'm out of ideas. However, I'm sure that someone else has had the same problem and had the intelligence (far above mine i'll bet) to be able to resolve this issue in another fashion. If the specific iPod matters, mine is a 5th generation with 120gb of memory.

Thanks for your time and response if you feel that you can help me in this endeavor. I miss my music.
