Whenever I download and open pdf's they load in Acrobat Pro rather than Preview...I would prefer I load them in Preview so I can take advantage of the smooth scroll, faster loading times, and more system resources. How can I change it so all my pdfs load in Preview instead of Acrobat?

Right click (CTRL+CLICK) on one of your PDF files and choose "Open With" and then "Other." Navigate to you Applications folder and choose the Preview application - but make sure you check "Always Open With" before clicking OPEN.

There is also a preference setting in Acrobat for whether it displays PDFs in web pages. I turned it off.

You can also change that preference from the "get info" window. When you press command-i to get info on the file you'll notice that there is an "open with" area. You can select preview from the pull down menu and below that you can press the "change all" button to set up all PDFs to open with preview.
