Loading pictures taken with iPhone into iPhoto

Anyone else having issues? iPhoto sees the iPhone and asks which pictures, album, etc... and tries to download. I then get a message saying it is an incompatible format.

Mine syncs just fine. Try uploading the pictures online and if it's still incompatible, restore the phone.

Synch downloads my iPhone pictures everytime and asks if I want to replace them. Annoying
