So for some reason my site keeps loading slowly, and I know it's not my ISP. I just upgraded last week from 3mbps to 12mbps (don't ask why it hadn't been done years ago) and I really don't see a speed difference, it just seems slow, no idea why. However when I run speed tests it shows the results. Anyways my site is loading slow and not just for me at my house but for all people who go to it, any ideas or fixes? Also the use a site CMS Made Simple for all of my web files, has any used it? Struggling to update my files and gain ftp access using FileZilla.

Thanks guys, I apologize for my lack of knowledge in this area.

If the site is running slow on your local network then you have some issue that is impossible to troubleshoot with the given information.

One thing to keep in mind though: Even though the speed from your ISP to you is 12Mbps the speed from you to the ISP is going to be much slower. Still, even a 1Mbps uplink is fast enough to serve a basic page.

One option to hunt down the slowness is YSlow, a add-on for Firefox with Firebug. Safari's developer tools also have a section for analyzing the network traffic to see what specific items on your page are downloading slowly.

Have you a link to your site so we can check it out?

Also who are you using to host it? The location of the host relative to where you are viewing the site from can sometimes make a big difference.
