How the hell is this gonna work? It's an outdoor shopping center, if security keeps people away, 6AM is going to be a mad dash. Unfortunately I have to brave it as my iPhone 6 Plus was delayed a week and I want it now so I'm willing to try. Fortunately it's not among the popular US stores/cities.

According to apple employees people are going to form a line outside of starbucks right by, but how the hell can they enforce that? Anyone can just run up at 6am from anywhere really..

Yeah, it doesn't seem very well thought out. The purpose of a line is to prevent chaos...

Maybe they're just saying that to prevent some people from showing up early, but still allow a line on the dl, just so it's more manageable.

In the past people generally line up at whatever location and then walk in to the official line.

Right, but what's stopping people from just mad-dashing to the store when they see people walking? Apple store doesn't care, it's first come first serve in line. The shopping center security is enforcing this..

I would want to line up NOW but it seems pointless, ya know?

I can only speak from my experience here, but in the past they started at the front of the line and had everyone walk in single file in an orderly fashion.

Since it was single file with everyone close. there was really no way to cut the line.

I understand how you feel though. Good luck.

I am in the same boat - the outdoor mall won't allow lines until 5am. I plan to get there earlier but can't see what is to stop a mad rush to the store.
