I was informed that on an old firmware version of iOS 6 that Apple has taken away the option of a user doing a "local in-house" wireless sync of your mobile devices to your iMac/MBP without using iCloud. And from then on Apple has forced users to only use iCloud to wirelessly sync your mobile devices to your base stations. Is this true?

"Eau Rouge" meaning from Spa-Francorchamps? Formula 1 rules! :D yeah, I was told that you have to push things through iCloud to do a Wifi sync with your iPhone to your iMac, if this is incorrect, then there must have been a period where this non-iCloud Wifi sync was stopped or prevented from Apple and then maybe re-introduced and resumed again after many users complained of not having the option to not use iCloud?
