Localised keyboards buttons layout

Just got new Macbook Pro, and for some strange reason started to miss buttons while typing. After some time I realised that letters on keys are swapped.
On every keyboards (previous macs, any PCs) english letters are always left.
Why they did so? I hope to get used to it.
