I can't seem to find a definitive list of what each location service does, at least not for the new ones Apple has added. There also seems to be some fog as to which is important for let's say, "optimized battery charging." Does anyone know what each one does? That way we know which to keep and which to turn off...

The 2nd link is a little wrong. You don’t need WiFi calling enabled there to actually use WiFi calling. I am not sure what it supposed to even do but it works fine without having it enabled there.
Also i would leave System customization On. It’s used for all the night shift and dark mode Settings to be able to use turn on by sunset Sunrise

Doesn't it provide emergency services with location in case you are on wifi calling?
