Lock Screen Bug?

Searched for this, couldn't find much about it. This happens approximately 50% of the time on the lock screen. Seems like the text/symbol elements on the screen are at a much lower opacity. Is this an iOS 8 bug or a hardware issue?

I have never seen that. Try Settings>General>Reaet>Reset All Settings and see if that helps.
