Do anyone know if we will be able to interact with notifications on the lock screen without 3D Touch. For example will I be able to respond to a text right from the lock screen.

That’s how it works on my iPad 6th gen 2018. It works just as well as 3D Touch, just without the Haptic feedback.

Although an often forgotten feature, I have always liked 3D Touch

Turn off 3D touch on your current device (if u have one) and see what works.

When I turned off 3D touch on my 7 plus (to experiment), I was still able to move the cursor by long pressing the space bar.
