LockBackground.html help?

Hi guys,
Have had some really nice people helping me out customize one of @gary008's lockscreen themes. I have been trying to customize the "LockBackground.html" file, but everytime I open it with text edit or DW, it comes up as these random chinese characters.
I don't know why this is happening.

Here is a pic of what I see... I downloaded a random LockBackground.html and I could open it... not sure what to do. Thanks for all your help.

I've had the same thing happen. Try text wrangler or komodo edit 🙂
