I’ve been experimenting with enabling Lockdown Mode, and I actually kind of like it. I feel like web browsing speeds significantly increase.

I have a question though, sometimes when you open an app a pop-up will present that says, you are running this app in lockdown mode. You can disable lockdown mode **for this app** in settings.

Where??? I don’t see it in the lockdown mode settings unless I’m missing something, and I also don’t see it by navigating to settings > and then the particular app I’d like to disable it for.

Unless the prompt is stating to turn off Lockdown Mode entirely? But it specifically says “for this app” which seems misleading if they mean a blanket disabling of the feature.

Anybody know?

It is under lockdown settings under the confusingly named “Configure Web Browsing.” Go into that and you’ll see the list of apps that have been run in Lockdown mode, with toggles.

And actually I only found this post because I was looking for anyone discussing the feature. I know this is an old post. No one seems to be talking about it but so far I love it. Despite Apple’s many dire warnings I see no downsides. I wish they would expand it further to things like completely blocking all messages from non contacts.

For those of you using Lockdown Mode, are you having issues receiving phone calls on your Apple Watch? It used to work fine but about a month ago phone calls only comes on my iPhone. My Apple Watch doesn’t alert me anymore.
