Locked Folders Help

Ok

I have 2 macbooks and have transferred one system to another using migration assistant and everything went off without a hitch but now the documents of my old user name are locked and can not be opened, i have give permission to the folders i need but they are still locked and i really need these docs for work, can anyone help please?

That is interesting. Did you set permissions by right clicking the folder and hit get info?

Yes, thats exactly how i went about it and im really stuck with this, i give permission and still no joy 🙁

Did you select the option to propagate down to through the hierarchy to the children folders and files, or just give permission for that folder?

You did unlock the padlock before changing right? Make sure you 'apply to enclosed items' as well
