Hello! I finally bought an iPhone X a couple of days ago, and I'm enjoying it so far, despite of the things I knew in advance I was going not to like that much...
Well, the thing is the camera is very important for me, and I use google photos to synchronise the pictures in the cloud (because it's free and unlimited). I'm using the .heic format and google photos does upload the .heic format pics and I can see the them without any issue in my macbook pro.
Trying to import the pictures to lightroom, the problem shows up: I can add some images (and edit without problems), but for some others, there's a compatibility issue i can't even see the thumbnail, being all of them .heic. why? Trying to open them in the computer, i realise that the ones i can't open in lightroom, they are "locked" in the preview app, whereas the ones withouth problem are not "locked". If I try to unlock in preview, the program asks me to duplicate the file with a .tiff file (huge!).
Anybody else having this issue? I think i'll switch back to .jpg...
