Hi,
I recently sold my Macbook Pro on Ebay to a buyer. Before I sold it, I upgraded the hard drive (brand-new) and installed Yosemite, leaving it at the welcome screen so that the new owner can set it up with his own details.

Now 2 weeks later, the buyer is saying it's asking him for an iCloud password that he doesn't know and he's asking me for it.
In all the time that I used the macbook I never set up or used iCloud on it so I don't understand how this has happened. Can anyone help?

Look at your itunes account and there will be a section with registered products unregister that computer.... It should work but he may need to do a yosemite reinstall to get it back to where he can set his own up.

Sorted now. He took it to an Apple Store and they fixed it. No explanation as to what the actual problem was however.
Thanks.
