Hi;

One of my colleagues uses an iMac and decided to setup parental control. Now they cannot access the Internet and when they try they are asked for an Administrator Password.
They can go into preferences and change the Admin password but the new password is not accepted.

Any ideas.

So long as they haven't set up a firmware password, couldn't they just:
1. ERASE the existing installation
2. Install a completely NEW installation (OS and software)
and then...
3. Go on from there?

There is a danger in creating passwords that you can't remember later on.
These folks have found out about that !

I bought a used 2009 iMac that had admin's set up with no access, I was able to create a new admin account and delete the others, wasn't too difficult, found the process from online search. I have a link, but don't have it at work. I will post later, if you haven't figured it out, sorry.
