With Screen Time no matter what you do, from what I have tried and researched, the user still gets at least one minute of time per day due to the setting that does not let the parent assign "0" time.

I just thought, with the new lock app option, I could let my kid have an app, lock it, and I can assign a passcode so they can only access it when I let them, and make them stop using it after. I could then assign a set amount of time per day, maybe 15 minutes so it automatically shuts off after that.

Anyone who has used the lock app option have any thoughts on this? Is there something I am overlooking?

Thanks

^This. The new function is more for let a friend/SO/other use the phone and not be able to open a "sensitive" app and its contents.
