I need some help fixing my lockscreen. I just installed the Typophone 4 theme. But the time is messed up. on the Deviant Art page, the creator mentions a time issue, but it's for older iOS versions. My iPhone is running 4.2.6.

Can anyone please help me figure it out? I've restarted and it still isn't right.
Thanks!

Thanks. New problem.
For any lockscreen theme I try now, I get this blue question mark background. The correct wallpaper never displays. Respringing doesn't work.

Help, please?

edit style.css and change:

background-image:url('/private/var/mobile/Library/SpringBoard/LockBackground.jpg')

to

background-image:url('LockBackground.png');

I was getting a flashing 88:88 behind the time with IOS 4.2.1 on my iPhone 4. Editing the above file fixed the issue.

An alternative is to try Typophone Weather from Cydia.

Hope this helps you both.

This is Typophone Weather with my custom wallpaper and replacement slider /Tap to unlock.

Hmmm.....thanks for the advice. I just tried that and it's still not working. I even rebooted and it won't work.

Any other ideas? Including help with the blue question mark problem above?
Thanks again.

I just tried Typophone Weather though, and it works perfectly.
1. How do I change the city for weather?
2. How do I change the background if I choose to like you did?

Thanksssssss

Sorry - It must be broken in the latest firmware. Try Typophone Weather.

I got Typophone Weather working and figured out the location.
How do I set my own background for it though?

Now I gotta find a theme I like...

One last problem. With any theme I choose, I can never get my own wallpaper to show up. I have tried selecting "User Wallpaper" (or whatever it says in Winterboard), but that doesn't work either...

All you need to do is replace the blank LockBackground.png with your image of choice.

Where at? In the theme folder and I can use iFile to do that?
Thanks :)

**Edit: Nevermind, I got it using the computer.

One issue still.
Replacing LockBackground with my own wallpaper worked great.
I did the same for the regular theme's wallpaper (named it accordingly). But the wallpaper is stretched out and distorted. Easy fix?

Make sure the wallpaper is 640x960 and you shouldn't have any problems.

Sorry Akkkmed - I don't know what else to suggest :(

It's alright. Thanks for trying.

New question, though. No matter what theme I use, whenever I open a folder, it changes the wallpaper to the "user selected" one. Then when I close the folder, it goes back to the theme's wallpaper. I can't figure it out..... Help?

Hey guys, I need some help with the typophone 4 lock theme, I have a Jailbroken iPhone 4 running iOS 7.1.2 here is my standard lockscreen.

IMG_6926.PNG

Once I have installed typophone 4 and have clock hide on, the only thing that changes is the slide to unlock bar and not by much.

IMG_6928.PNG

Is there any way to fix this and make it appear how it should?

Here are the setting I have which to my understanding is right and typophone weather does EXACTLY the same thing.

Please can someone help me out with this, thanks.

The last time I recall Typophone 4 working was on iOS 6 and even then it was glitchy. You are on iOS 7. Typophone 4 was originally for iOS versions before 5. You can't really expect it to work on iOS 7.

One of those various types of tweaks that are still present on Cydia because people with older devices and older versions of iOS are still around, but that does not work on current versions of iOS.

Ah crap..thanks for the help, that's a pity, too bad there aren't any similar themes to this available for new iOS. But at least I understand now and not to waste my time further trying to get this theme to work.

Yeah, sorry. There's a lot of abandoned tweaks and apps in Cydia. If you happen to have a device/iOS they work on it's great, but if not it can be a real trial trying to figure out what still works and what does not.

But none of this stuff gets removed unless it really messes things up simply because there are still people out there who can run/use these things.

You could try contacting the dev, but the fact that there has not really been an update since iOS 5 is a pretty clear indication that the dev isn't working on this any more.

I've had a few tweaks like this, one's I've bought too, and it's frustrating so I totally get your disappointment.
