Went to buy a Logi Base at my local Apple Store today and they gave me this battered up old box that had no cellophane or any other kind of seal on it. It was totally open.

I asked if they could get another out because it seemed bizarre to not come cellophane-wrapped, or even with some sort of sticky tape holding the box shut.

They looked in the stock room and all of them were like that - dirty, dented boxes with no seal.

I didn't buy it...

Is this really how they come? They fed me some crap about how third party items in store come unsealed so you can "see what you're buying", despite me pointing out that on the shelves everything except the Belkin cables had some form of tamper-proof seal on them.

Interested to hear from anyone else who bought one.

I bought logi keyboard online from Bestbuy, and it came without cellophane. And that's true what they told you. Most of the 3rd party cases they sold in Apple Store are not sealed. I bought several already, such as Otterbox, PowerSupport, none of them was sealed.

Interesting. So not even little sticky tabs to hold the box shut?

I bought two of the Logitech create cases from Best Buy and neither was sealed. Apparently that's how they are sold.
