What did Apple break with this news 10.7.5 update? They sure broke something. Logic WILL NOT load fully. It locks up, beach ball spinning at startup & soon after you click on it you see "application not responding".

When will there be a fix for this nonsense???? I have 1000's of hours of work I cannot access now & there is no way to down grade back to 10.7.4 of Logic.

Ack, that's no good. No problems when I upgraded, fortunately.

I assume you've attempted restarting the Mac at least once.

Have you got a Time Machine backup from which you can restore the previous version?

No problem here either. MacBook Pro M1, macOS Ventura 13.0. There is also this...do you have any incompatible Audio Units?

I haven't run into this either with Logic Pro 10.7.5 on my Mac Studio M1 Max.

I guess you've already tried reinstalling the new version.

Hint for the future…before updating the Logic Pro application to a new version always compress the current one to a zip file. Additionally, you can have two uncompressed versions of LP in the Applications folder…change the app name of the older one to something like "Logic Pro 10.7.4".

It’s happening to me as well. My MacBook Pro has 64GB of unified memory, M1 Max 24 core. I’d expect it not to have any issues whatsoever but when I open a project it takes over 2 minutes just to load plugins and gets stuck on Klopfgeist the metronome and I’ve had 6 beachballs in 3 days each time I work. Happened first time when relocating my sound library and trying to open a folder on the desktop while Logic was open.

I fixed it after deleting many plugins until I found the 3 that were gumming up the works for Logic. They all worked fine in 10.7.4 but not in 10.7.5. It was ridiculous!

No doubt that it's a Plug-in issue. Can you list the plugins you've installed?

Well done – at least you found a way.

Do you care to share which plug-ins?
